WAX 10001–50005
Wax is one alias of the German DJ and producer René Pawlowitz. Over five years, from 2008–2012, Wax released 5 EPs, one each year with the ambiguous names 10001, 20002, 30003, 40004 and 50005.
After seeing these records physically with blank sleeves and only a numbered stamp, I decided to create my own interpretation of the five-part series using a monospaced typeface and a modular, typographic design system across a vinyl record-mockup, exploring the individual elements i.e. the outer sleeve, inner sleeve, record label and the vinyl itself.
