Nono Mono

Nono Mono is a sans-serif, monospaced typeface made using only circles and rounded forms; by following a clear grid system with subtle anomalies, the result feels digital yet organic. The design is generally inspired by the work of mid 20th century Dutch graphic design and is an exploration into the legibility of grid-based, monospaced fonts.

The name ‘Nono’ is derived from nonograms; cell-based games which are coloured to reveal an image, relating to the construction of this typeface.

This grid structure allowed for full upper and lower case characters, numerals, symbols and full Latin diacritics.
